Tomoya is a multi-jurisdictional intellectual property expert. He is also an attorney with a rare background. He is licensed to practice law in the United States and intellectual property law in Japan. He represents clients of all sizes and helps these clients identify, protect, and leverage their intellectual property rights in the United States and abroad.

Tomoya has drafted and prosecuted hundreds of patent applications in Japan and the United States. He can draft applications in both English and Japanese. He frequently lectures on Japanese and U.S. patent prosecution topics. His practice areas include patent prosecution and intellectual property counseling in the broad fields of electronics and mechanical engineering.

Prior to joining the firm, Tomoya worked at two globally recognized United States patent boutique firms and served as in-house patent counsel at a global electronics company. Tomoya is fluent in Japanese and English.
